Webinar | Situation Update: Ebola outbreak in Guinea
On 14 February 2021, the Ministry of Health (MoH) of Guinea declared an outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in the sub-prefecture of Goueke, Nzerekore Region, Guinea. President Alpha Conde on 15 February announced a series of new restrictions for Goueke district and Nzerekore city (both Nzerekore region) following confirmed EVD cases in the area. Restrictions include the imposition of checkpoints for health screening measures around the affected areas and the banning of weekly markets and traditional funerals. The measures are set to remain in place for at least 30 days.
This situation represents a risk for employees and assignees in Guinea but also those in neighbouring countries.
